FAQs
When are you available?
By appointment only on Wednesdays from 10am to 4pm. If that time doesn't work for you, please contact Malea to see what can arranged.
What should I expect?
Massage takes place on a padded massage table and involves physical contact. Clients can expect to be pushed and prodded. They will move their limbs and twist their torsos as appropriate for their specific concerns. Malea will discuss the preferences of each client and respect their boundaries.
What should I wear?
Wear comfortable loose fitting clothes like you might wear for light exercise of a walk. Sessions at True Movement Studio often involve more than the standard "facedown/faceup" format, so wear clothes you will feel at ease in regardless of your position.
What should I tell my practitioner?
Your body worker should know about any pain, injuries, or difficulties you may have in moving. True Movement Studios prides itself on listening to clients and respecting their boundaries. You want to tell Malea more than "too hard" or "too soft." Discuss your goals for the session, any injuries you have, any "no-go" zones, sensitivities, or traumas that may affect the session.
Should I leave a gratutity?
Payment will be completed prior to each session. No additional tip is required. Any gratuity you wish to leave will be accepted with gratitude.
How long will I be there?
True Movement Studio offers sessions for one hour or for ninety minutes. Please arrive a few minutes early to discuss your needs and preferences. Most clients prefer ninety minutes as the extra time provides greater opportunity to explore and problem-solve.
